Haley Grey is an emerging singer-songwriter whose work incorporates devotional practice and myth-making through sound, text, and performance. Her music is propelled by an investigation of the Afro-Cuban orisha oshun––how has her folklore been shaped in spite of colonial histories, and how can her wisdom be channeled through performance? With a unique blend of influences from Neo-soul, folk, and jazz, she describes her songwriting process as “catching a feeling” and shaping it to its essential form through improvisation and collaboration. This process can be seen in her duo with composer and bassist, Yves-Gérald Délices (Yve). Together, they released the EP Haley Grey + Yve (2024).

With a formal education from Hampshire College and the Tribeca Jazz Institute of New York, her creative voice took shape in Cuba at the Havana International Jazz Plaza Festival from 2019 - 2023.

She currently resides in Brooklyn, and has performed at Ki Smith Gallery, New York Botanical Gardens, Chapel Bar, and Elizabeth Street Garden. Grey is in the process of cultivating her solo practice. Her debut album, Bodies Grow Flowers Grow, will be released Summer 2026.
